Hifz Program

Preserving the Quran by Shaping Principled Leaders

At Madinatul Uloom Academy, we believe that memorizing the Quran is both an honour and a responsibility; one that shapes not only a student’s spiritual connection, but their character, discipline, and sense of purpose.

Our Hifz Program in Toronto offers students the opportunity to commit the words of Allah (SWT) to heart while continuing their academic studies, developing the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed to excel in both faith and education.

As the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught:

"The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it to others."

(Sahih al-Bukhari)
program

Searching for ‘hifz program near me’ is often the first step parents take toward finding a school that nurtures both faith and academic growth. Our mission is to guide students on the transformative journey of Quran memorization, with the proper application of Tajweed and recitation. Through this process, we aim to foster a lifelong connection to the Quran, cultivate a love for its teachings, and empower students to grow into well-rounded individuals guided by the Quran and Sunnah.

We recognize that memorizing the Quran is more than an academic achievement; it is a means of building discipline, responsibility, and moral strength that will benefit students throughout their lives.

overview

The Hifz Program is available to students from Grade 3 and up, providing the structure, support, and specialized instruction needed to successfully balance Quran memorization with academic studies.

Our program is led by dedicated Huffaz teachers, highly experienced in both Quranic memorization and student development. With the support of additional subject specialists, students are guided through an intensive, structured process that integrates Quran memorization with the outcomes of the Ontario curriculum.

Through this approach, students develop not only a deep connection to the Quran, but also the time management, study habits, and academic skills necessary for long-term success.

eligibility

Admission to the Hifz Program is based on:

  • Academic performance in core subjects
  • Proficiency in Quran reading and recitation
  • A formal assessment conducted by our Hifz teaching team

This ensures that students entering the program are prepared for the commitment required, both spiritually and academically.

For students in JK to Grade 2, parents interested in preparing their child for the Hifz Program are encouraged to schedule a meeting with the school principal to discuss recommended next steps.

cost

The Hifz Program at Madinatul Uloom Academy is offered free of charge on a part-time basis, allowing students to balance their Quran memorization with their academic responsibilities. This structure ensures that students continue progressing in both areas without compromise.

demanding

We recognize that the Hifz journey requires dedication from both students and their families. Memorizing the Quran demands time, consistency, and effort, but the reward is immeasurable.

With the help of Allah (SWT) and the right support system in place, we strive to make this journey not only achievable but deeply meaningful for each student.

We ask Allah (SWT) to make this path easy and rewarding for our students, and to allow them to carry the Quran in their hearts as a source of guidance, strength, and success. Ameen.
