At Madinatul Uloom Academy, Islamic education is not limited to a single class — it is woven into every part of the school day. From the early years to graduation, we guide students in understanding and living their faith with sincerity, confidence, and love.
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) — Sahih al-Bukhari 71
From Pre-K to Grade 8, Islamic Studies is an integral part of the curriculum. Lessons extend beyond the classroom, with school-wide programs, events, and morning reflections that connect Islamic teachings to daily life.
Students actively participate in planning and leading events such as the Muslim Gallery, Eid celebrations, and Hajj simulations, fostering both leadership and a meaningful connection to their faith.
It is both our privilege and responsibility to nurture a deep-rooted understanding of Islam in every student.
A central part of our Islamic education is helping students build a lifelong connection to the Quran; not only through recitation, but by understanding and reflecting on its message.
We begin each school day with collective recitation and supplications in Arabic and English, allowing students to internalize the meaning of Allah’s words:
(Surah Ar-Ra'd: 28)
From Junior Kindergarten, students progress from Iqra (basic reading) to fluent recitation with proper Tajweed and Makhaarij. By Grade 6, many students confidently recite independently, with an understanding of key Surahs.
In the secondary grades, Quranic recitation continues as part of daily Salah, and students often memorize longer Surahs such as Surah Yasin, Ar-Rahman, Al-Waqi’ah, and Al-Mulk.
For those seeking to advance further, our specialized Hifz Program, available from Grade 3 and up, provides the guidance and structure needed to memorize the Quran with dedication and love.
Salah is the foundation of a Muslim’s daily life. At MUA, it is a natural and regular part of the school day.
In the early years, students learn Wudhu, memorize essential Surahs from Juz Amma, and understand the importance of prayer. As they progress, they perform Wudhu and pray in congregation, building both spiritual discipline and confidence.
For students who are still learning, small-group instruction ensures that no one is left behind. Our goal is to help every student experience the beauty and fulfillment of Salah as a cherished daily habit, not simply an obligation.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised:
(Abu Dawood)
Through consistent practice and gentle guidance, we help students carry their connection to Salah confidently into every stage of life.
Our approach to Islamic education goes beyond memorization — it is about building character, nurturing love for Allah (SWT), and preparing students to carry their faith proudly and sincerely, wherever life takes them.
